The China-Serbia Free Trade Agreement (FTA) officially took effect on July 1, 2024. It was the first FTA signed between China and a Central and Eastern European country. According to the customs statistics, Hunan Province's foreign trade volume to Serbia amounted to 510 million CNY in the first five months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 121%.

7月1日,，中國(guó)-塞爾維亞自由貿(mào)易協(xié)定正式生效，這是我國(guó)與中東歐國(guó)家簽署的第一個(gè)自貿(mào)協(xié)定。據(jù)海關(guān)統(tǒng)計(jì)，今年前5月，湖南省對(duì)塞爾維亞進(jìn)出口額5.1億元,，同比增長(zhǎng)121%。

After the implementation of the FTA, China and Serbia will gradually eliminate tariffs on 90% of the tariff lines respectively, of which more than 60% will be eliminated immediately on the day when the agreement enters into force, a person in charge of Changsha Customs Tariff Division said.

長(zhǎng)沙海關(guān)關(guān)稅處負(fù)責(zé)人介紹,，該協(xié)定生效后,，中塞雙方將分別對(duì)90%的稅目逐步相互取消關(guān)稅,，其中，超過60%的稅目在協(xié)定生效當(dāng)天立即取消關(guān)稅,。

The main products exported from Hunan to Serbia include vehicle lighting parts, drilling machinery parts, electric motors, aluminum foil, pocket gas lighters, and porcelain tableware, all of which are covered by the Serbian tariff concessions to China. For example, the Serbian side has immediately reduced the base tariff level of the imported vehicle lighting device parts from 5% to zero, since the day of the agreement coming into force. The export value of the products reached 13.305 million CNY between January and May this year. It was expected that the annual tariff concessions of 1.6 million CNY can be enjoyed from the Serbian side.

湖南出口至塞爾維亞的主要產(chǎn)品包括車輛照明裝置零件,、鉆探機(jī)械零件、電動(dòng)機(jī),、鋁箔,、袖珍氣體打火機(jī),、瓷制餐具等，均屬于塞方對(duì)華關(guān)稅減讓商品,。以車輛照明裝置零件為例,，協(xié)定生效當(dāng)天，塞方從進(jìn)口基準(zhǔn)稅率5%立即降至零關(guān)稅,，以今年1至5月該產(chǎn)品出口額1330.5萬元測(cè)算，預(yù)計(jì)全年可享受塞方關(guān)稅減讓160萬元,。

"Hunan-based foreign trade enterprises are suggested to pay close attention to the FTA tariff reduction policy, and learn about the tariff reduction arrangements for the products concerned, rules of origin, and the conditions for the use of the certificate of origin, making full use of the agreement's tax reduction policy dividends," said a person in charge of the Changsha Customs.
