The real-time monitoring of migratory birds that overwinter in Hunan Province for the 2024-2025 season has been accomplished, the Hunan Department of Forestry recently announced.

近日，湖南省林業(yè)局發(fā)布消息,，2024至2025年全省越冬水鳥(niǎo)同步監(jiān)測(cè)已圓滿完成,。

From last winter till this spring, a total of 465,200 waterbirds have been recorded overwintering in Hunan, marking a record high.

監(jiān)測(cè)數(shù)據(jù)顯示，去冬今春,，46.52萬(wàn)只水鳥(niǎo)在湖南度過(guò)寒冷時(shí)光,，冬候鳥(niǎo)數(shù)量刷新歷史記錄。

For the first time, the monitoring scope has been expanded from the Dongting Lake Area to 85 counties, county-level cities, and districts in all of the 13 cities and one prefecture provincewide. The monitoring results will provide a scientific basis to Hunan Province to protect birds and their habitats.

這是首次將監(jiān)測(cè)范圍從洞庭湖區(qū)擴(kuò)大到全省14個(gè)市州,、85個(gè)縣市區(qū),，為全省保護(hù)鳥(niǎo)類及其棲息地提供更科學(xué)的依據(jù)。

Over the past five years, Hunan has expanded the real-time monitoring scope from the east, west, and south Dongting Lake Natural Reserves and the Hengling Lake Natural Reserve, to the surrounding counties, county-level cities, districts, and protected areas, covering all wetland parks at various levels around the province.

近五年,，湖南省越冬水鳥(niǎo)同步監(jiān)測(cè)范圍從東,、西、南洞庭湖自然保護(hù)區(qū)及橫嶺湖自然保護(hù)區(qū)擴(kuò)大到周邊縣市區(qū)及保護(hù)地,，今年實(shí)現(xiàn)全省各級(jí)濕地公園全覆蓋,。

According to the monitoring records, a total of 465,200 wintering migratory birds in 71 species have been recorded. Among which, 456,200 birds overwintered in the Dongting Lake Area, 75,000 more than that in the same period of last year. The four core protected areas were inhabited by 272,600 migratory birds, about 3,600 more than the previous year. Comparing with the same period of last year, 71,400 more migratory birds were recorded in the areas around the lake, bringing the total number to 183,600.

此次調(diào)查記錄到的71種、46.52萬(wàn)只越冬候鳥(niǎo),，集中在洞庭湖區(qū)域的有45.62萬(wàn)只,，比上年同期增長(zhǎng)約7.5萬(wàn)只。其中,，四大核心保護(hù)區(qū)27.26萬(wàn)只,，比上年監(jiān)測(cè)記錄增長(zhǎng)3600只左右；而環(huán)湖區(qū)則同比增加7.14萬(wàn)只,，總量達(dá)到18.36萬(wàn)只,。

The Niao'er Isle in Dingcheng District, Maoli Lake in Jinshi City, Xifeng Lake in Hanshou County, Donghu Lake in Huarong County, Tianxing Isle in Nanxian County, Qionghu Lake in Yuanjiang City, and Laiyi Lake and Datong Lake in Heshan District were the wetland parks that have recorded a relatively large number of wintering waterbirds, according to a researcher of the observation station. These wetland parks are mainly located in the areas around the Dongting Lake.?

據(jù)觀測(cè)研究站研究人員介紹，鼎城鳥(niǎo)兒洲,、津市毛里湖,、漢壽息風(fēng)湖、華容東湖,、南縣天星洲,、沅江瓊湖、赫山來(lái)儀湖和大通湖,，是記錄到越冬水鳥(niǎo)較多的濕地公園,，而這些濕地公園大部分屬于環(huán)洞庭湖區(qū)。

The increasing number of migratory birds overwintering in Hunan demonstrates the continuous improvement and balanced development of Hunan's ecosystem.?

Four major species of wintering migratory birds—bean goose, falcated duck, green-winged teal, and spot-billed duck—are in the majority in Hunan, with tundra swans following behind with a sharp increase.?

在湖南越冬的候鳥(niǎo)中，豆雁,、羅紋鴨,、綠翅鴨和斑嘴鴨這四大主要種類占大多數(shù),，小天鵝的數(shù)量緊隨其后，且有大幅增長(zhǎng),。

Tundra swan is under second-class state protection. In 2019, a small number of tundra swans were recorded in Hunan for the first time. This year marks the fifth consecutive year that they overwinter here.??

2019年,，湖南省在越冬水鳥(niǎo)同步監(jiān)測(cè)中首次記錄到國(guó)家二級(jí)重點(diǎn)保護(hù)動(dòng)物小天鵝。如今,，它們已經(jīng)連續(xù)五年選擇湖南過(guò)冬,。

Apart from tundra swan, more protected birds have been monitored this time, including baer's pochards, scaly-sided mergansers, Siberian cranes, hooded crane, black storks, and oriental storks, all of which are under first-class state protection. Additionally, lesser white-fronted geese, swan geese, Eurasian spoonbills, greater white-fronted geese, common cranes, mandarin ducks, smews, and Asian pygmy geese, all of which are under second-class state protection were also recorded.

除了小天鵝，本次監(jiān)測(cè)還記錄到青頭潛鴨,、中華秋沙鴨,、白鶴、白頭鶴,、黑鸛和東方白鸛等6種國(guó)家一級(jí)重點(diǎn)保護(hù)鳥(niǎo)類,，小白額雁、鴻雁,、白琵鷺,、白額雁、灰鶴,、鴛鴦,、斑頭秋沙鴨、棉鳬等8種國(guó)家二級(jí)重點(diǎn)保護(hù)鳥(niǎo)類,。
