The 9th Chinese Lantern Riddle Cultural Festival will take place in Changsha between August 10 and 12.

第九屆中華燈謎文化節(jié)（長(zhǎng)沙）將于8月10日至12日在長(zhǎng)沙舉行,。

According to the organizing committee, a large riddle-guessing activity will be held on the outdoor square of the Changsha Mass Art Center on the evening of August 10. An award ceremony, a closing ceremony, and a flag handover ceremony will be arranged on the afternoon of August 12. A series of Changsha folk handicrafts will be exhibited on the first floor of the center during the festival.

據(jù)組委會(huì)介紹，8月10日晚上,，第九屆中華燈謎文化節(jié)（長(zhǎng)沙）將在長(zhǎng)沙市群藝館外廣場(chǎng)舉辦大型群眾性燈謎展猜活動(dòng),。8月12日下午，將舉行頒獎(jiǎng)儀式,、閉幕式和會(huì)旗交接儀式,?；顒?dòng)期間，長(zhǎng)沙市民間工藝精品展將在長(zhǎng)沙市群藝館一樓展出,。

Forty-two lantern riddle teams, as well as over 160 guests and contestants from the USA, Singapore, Malaysia, and China's Taiwan and Hong Kong SAR will participate in the event.

本屆燈謎文化節(jié)共邀請(qǐng)了來(lái)自美國(guó),、新加坡、馬來(lái)西亞和中國(guó)臺(tái)灣,、中國(guó)香港等海內(nèi)外42支燈謎代表隊(duì)和160余位嘉賓,、選手參加。

An array of activities will be organized, including:

“星虎文譚”長(zhǎng)沙燈謎與地域文化論文征集

-- a call for papers on evaluation and analysis of Changsha lantern riddles; and,

“璀璨星燈”長(zhǎng)沙謎人燈謎作品評(píng)析征文活動(dòng)

-- a seminar on Changsha lantern riddles and local culture.

The Chinese Lantern Riddle Cultural Festival is the largest top-level Chinese lantern riddle competition with the highest level of contestants and the most far-reaching influence. It is known as the "Olympics" in the lantern riddle circle.

中華燈謎文化節(jié)是規(guī)格最大,、參賽選手水平最高,、影響最為深遠(yuǎn)的中華燈謎頂級(jí)賽事，被譽(yù)為燈謎界的“奧林匹克”,。

The festival is hosted by the Chinese Lantern Riddle Association, Hunan Folk Literature and Art Association, Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Television, and Changsha Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and organized by the Changsha Mass Art Center and Changsha Folk Literature and Art Association.
