Xu Haiming, 35, is the head of the Mushan Planting Cooperative in Liuyang, Changsha. Shortly after graduating from university, he returned to Liuyang and became the youngest rice farmer in his hometown. Now he is a veteran rice grower.

Xu ploughs acres of rice fields, using premium seeds and advanced farming techniques and methods. Relying on large-scale operations, he actively applies modern agricultural technologies, and provides his fellow farmers with services such as seedling cultivation, transplanting, harvesting, and processing. This makes grain farming easier for local farmers and contributes to prosperity in his hometown.
